works in fabric, assemblage & collage

“I am an improvisational quilter. Fabric is a fascinating medium for me. I find the intersection of color, texture, shape and line to be very exciting, and I utilize both machine and hand stitching to explore what I “see”. Some of my quilt designs are abstract but much of my work is pictorial and “tells a story”. More and more of my fabric pieces have elements of collage in their design.”

In my assemblages and collages, I tend to utilize ordinary images and objects in unusual ways, making connections between dissimilar things.

I am also a cloth dollmaker.

I am fortunate that many of my dolls, quilts, assemblages and collages have been exhibited in the US and around the world, and many are in private collections.

I live and work in Stone Ridge, NY, in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains.
